Emotions
Yue stood on the roof of his house and watched the moon rise into the midnight sky. He felt power fill his whole being and spreading out his white wings, he flew into the air. It was exhilarating to feel the cool breeze brush his wings and to be alive. He had not felt like this in a long time and perhaps it was because of Sakura and Touya.
Touya.
Just the thought or sound of that name filled him with such strange and confusing emotions. As Yukito he viewed him as his best friend and perhaps as something more. It confused Yue terribly and he was not too sure what to do about it. Maybe his feelings as Yukito had started to change for Touya way before he gave up his powers to him in order for him to remain in this world. Or perhaps it had always been there silently waiting for him to acknowledge it? Yue was not to sure and with a tired sigh he returned to his home and changed back into Yukito.
It was getting late when Touya and Yukito left school a few weeks later. They had to stay after school in order to help set-up a play for their drama class. Touya was feeling extremely tired of late and could feel Yukito watching him. He knew the reason for this was because Yukito as Yue needed his power in order to stay here and not fade away. But did it have to take all his strength?
Sighing slightly, Touya turned and looked over at Yukito. Yukito was watching him worriedly again and had a guilty look. Shaking his head, he decided they needed to talk.
"Lets go to the park ok Yuki?"
Yukito started slightly and looked over at Touya. He could see tiredness in Touya’s blue-green eyes and was not to sure if that was a good idea.
"Are you sure To-ya? I mean you look tired right now and maybe you should rest?"
"I am fine really, Yuki. And we need to talk, ok?"
What did Touya want to talk about? And why did he feel suddenly nervous and afraid?
It took a few minutes to reach the park and the two friends parked their bikes near a tree. Touya walked a few feet away from Yukito and seemed to be thinking about something. Yukito watched him worriedly and wondered what this was all about.
"I wish to talk to Yue."
Touya had said it so softly that for a moment Yukito did not understand. Closing his eyes, he felt his transformation begin. It was strange each time changing from Yukito to Yue or vice versa, but he had grown use to it. Opening his eyes, he let his white wings drift open to reveal his true form. Long white hair fell to the ground in a half ponytail, he wore a blue and white outfit, and silver eyes regarded Touya cautiously.
"Why did you want to see me Touya?"
Touya winced slightly at Yue’s cold reply, but decided to ignore it. It was strange watching Yukito transform into Yue, but he knew it was still him. Walking over to him Touya looked into Yue’s silver eyes and saw a strange emotion there.
"Do you love me Yue?"
Yue eyes widened slightly and he felt his breath catch in his throat. Did he love Touya as himself or only if he was Yukito. What did he really feel for this man who had given him so much but did not ask for anything in return?
"Why do you ask me this Touya?"
Touya smiled a trifle sadly and continued to look at Yue. He felt truly alive when he was around either Yukito or Yue and knew it was because they were the same person. Yukito had all the positive emotions like love and laughter, while Yue had the negative emotions, like coldness and quiet.
"Because I love you and giving you my powers, was one reason. But it was also because you are my best friend and I don’t want to lose you. So stop feeling guilty about it ok?"
It felt right to tell Yue why he had done this. He watched surprise show on Yue’s face and knew it was the right thing to say. Tiredness began to make itself known to him and he felt faint.
Yue felt a strong emotion fill his being and strangely he wanted to cry. He had been in love only once before and was unsure of what his feelings were for Touya.
"Touya I?quot;
He reached out and caught Touya before he fell. Yue lowered him to the ground and half propped him up. Touya’s eyes fluttered open and he saw confusion in the blue-green depths.
"Its okay Touya, you just fainted."
He watched as Touya nodded slightly to him and then close his eyes again.
"Thank you Yue, I just felt so tired and could not stand up any longer."
"You must rest then Touya and when you feel up to it, I will take you home."
Yue felt his breath catch when a smile appeared on Touya’s face. He felt Touya sigh softly and drift off to sleep.
"What I wanted to say to you To-ya was that I think I love you too."
A brief smile appeared on Yue’s face and he felt strangely happy.
It was a few hours later when he was able to rouse the still groggy Touya and take him home. Sakura answered the door and had helped him to get Touya inside. She had looked at him questionably, but he shook his head and mouthed later. Yue helped Touya to his room and into bed. He sat on the bed and looked down at him.
Touya’s eyes fluttered open and he smiled at Yue sleepily. He barely remembered the trip home and much less how he got to his room. It all felt like a strange dream, but he knew it was real because Yue was there. Reaching up he threaded his fingers into Yue’s pale silver hair and tugging slightly pulled his head down and kissed him.
Yue’s eyes widened in surprise and then fluttered closed. He felt passion sweep through him and let out a soft moan. Touya’s other arm wrap around his waist and pulled him halfway on top of him. Heat filled his whole being and it felt right.
Breaking off the kiss Touya looked up into passion filled silver eyes. He felt his love for Yue grow stronger and felt happy.
"Please stay the night with me Yue? I just want to know that you are near me."
Yue started at this but nodded his head slowly. He watched as Touya smiled and felt his heart skip a beat. Lying down next to him, he wrapped his arms around Touya’s waist and felt him do the same. Coming to a decision Yue honestly knew how he truly felt and decided to tell Touya.
"To-ya I love you too."
He felt Touya tense slightly but then relax again. Slender fingers titled his chin up to look into Touya’s blue-green eyes. Leaning down slightly Touya kissed Yue warmly on the mouth.
"Thank you Yue, for telling me that."
